Camping Les Hauts de Ratebout is situated in stunning, rural and green surroundings, with large and shady pitches. You can also stay in one of our houses, that are all built in the old style of the Perigord, or in a fully equipped mobile-home. All with a fantastic view on the forests of the Dordogne.
The Perigord, also known as the land of the prehistoric man, is divided in four colours: White, purple, green and black. Les Hauts de Ratebout is part of the black Perigord, black because of the presence of truffles The region is known for its riches of folklore history and architecture, and in the vallies of the Vezere and the Dordogne you can find about 60 prehistoric sites, some of them with international fame. Places like Sarlat, Lascaux, Les Eyzies and Terrasson are all surrounded by this beautiful landscape that is practically untouched throughout the centuries.You can also visit one of the many medieval castles; Beynac, Castlenaud and Les Milandes are a few of the “chateaux” that have opened there doors to the public.
With family or good friends you can enjoy an unconcerned holiday and the campsite is an ideal point from where to discover this special region with its rich history and well renowned gastronomy.
